February 2024
Working Style
- I prefer flexible working hours vs. fixed working hours, so that I can lean into productivity when my body/mind are primed for the tasks at hand
- I like to use to-do lists and project trackers to keep things organized and structured
- I really value the “why” behind any task or project I am working on, and do not enjoy working on tasks that are moot or do not move us closer to our goals (i.e., busy work)
Feedback Preferences
- I prefer feedback in-person / live / in a huddle
- I am open to constructive criticism when it is timely and specific
- I prefer frequent feedback in real time vs. delayed at a periodic cadence. I’d rather ingest feedback while it’s fresh so that I can connect the dots easier and make the change sooner
Communication Style
- I prefer Slack to email; I love using Slack Huddles as a quick way to collaborate
- I like to receive and share information informally and continuously over Slack or Zoom
- I like to have regular 1:1 time to discuss feedback, and separate 1:1 time as a working session
Teamwork and Collaboration
- I prefer to work collaboratively vs. solo; I like bouncing ideas off of colleagues frequently
- I aim to develop strong rapport and relationships with my coworkers
- I like to provide organizational structure and support to team initiatives (i.e., serving as the taskmaster or organizational steward)
Additional Information
- I am trying to lean into a hybrid WFH model where I can interweave work and personal life
- e.g., taking a call on a walk or while on my Peloton
